Chatting with the Portal AI Expert

To start or continue a thread with the Portal AI Expert:

  1. Click the icon_ai_expert_portal.png icon on the top toolbar of your partner portal.

    The icon is available if your supplier has enabled the Portal AI Expert for you.

  2. If you’ve used the expert before, you can restart a previous thread:

    • Click on a thread in the list to restart it.
    • Search for a thread by entering keywords in the Search your threads field, and clicking icon_search_grey.png. You can then click on the thread to resume the conversation.
  3. Launch a conversation by typing your request into the Message AI Expert field, then clicking the up arrow or hitting ENTER.

    Some tips for asking an AI Expert a question:

    • Be as specific as possible
    • Be concise and avoid slang
    • Include context and relevant information

    The Portal AI Expert gives its initial response, extracting information from content available from your supplier in the portal. It includes a citation of the source of the information and a link to the applicable content. You can click these links to go to the relevant page, document or asset.

  4. Send additional questions or directions to tailor the response from the Portal AI Expert, or deliver it in a different way.

  5. If required, click one of these buttons for a response:

    • Regenerate icon_regenerate_ai.png - send the same request again, for example if you know that additional content has been made available for searching

    • Copy icon_copy_ai.png - copy the response to paste elsewhere

You can chat to the Portal AI Expert in any language, either having a whole conversation in your own language, or asking the Expert to translate any responses it gives.

Translate a response:
