Overview

The ZiftONE App Connector is a valuable tool that enables content to be directly delivered into the systems you work in now, saving time, making training easier, and eliminating the need to learn new processes.

Hootsuite is a social media management app that supports network integrations for Facebook, X, LinkedIn, and WordPress. Content from social streams can easily be delivered through any of your configured social networks. Hootsuite has over 10 million users and displays content by topic rather than by poster. You might consider using the Hootsuite application if you are currently using Hootsuite and do not want to change your workflow or if you are looking for content that might be beneficial to your followers. Your ZiftONE social streams are available directly on the Hootsuite dashboard which allows for quick and easy posting of syndicated content.

Connecting with Hootsuite allows users to import their ZiftONE social streams to Hootsuite and publish content to the social networks they have set up in Hootsuite. The App Connector is automatically enabled when you log in to your ZiftONE account through Hootsuite.

Note:

The Hootsuite connector requires partners to know their ZiftONE credentials. Partners that use Single Sign-on to log into ZiftONE and do not know their ZiftONE credentials will not be able to use this connector.

Before You Begin

A Hootsuite Professional, Team, Business, or Enterprise subscription is required to use the ZiftONE App Connector. A free 30-day trial of Hootsuite Pro is available for new users.

Important

ZiftONE App Connectors do not currently support the management of Campaign Social Posts. If you wish to leverage a campaign that contains social posts, you must turn off your App Connection for the duration of the campaign. Make sure to personalize your ZiftONE social settings if you are choosing this option. Learn more about Campaign Social Posts.

Additional Important Notes:

• After activating the ZiftONE app in Hootsuite, the Hootsuite App Connector will be enabled in your App Connectors settings in ZiftONE.
• Since you manage your social network accounts in Hootsuite, your social media settings in ZiftONE will be disabled.
• Your social streams in ZiftONE must be set to Requires Approval to make them available in Hootsuite. Learn more about setting up social streams.
• To disable a specific topic, change the setting to Ignore and refresh your Hootsuite stream.
• If you want to go back to managing your social posts in ZiftONE, simply disable the App Connector in your settings. You will be required to re-authorize your social media accounts in ZiftONE.​​
• ZiftONE will report clicks when you are using Hootsuite. Likes, shares, and retweets will not be captured in ZiftONE.

How to Configure Hootsuite

1. Open the App Directory in Hootsuite.
2. Search for Zift to install the app.
3. Log into your ZiftONE account using the ZiftONE app in Hootsuite.
4. After logging in, you will see content from your ZiftONE social streams available in Hootsuite.
