About Social Media

Overview

Using social media through ZiftONE lets you build, mix, and promote business engagement, conversation, and supplier- and partner-generated social content. Social content comes in many forms (audio, text, video, images, etc.). This content informs and entertains the people who consume it.

The best part? Your suppliers provide you with co-branded, pre-scheduled social content for your social accounts, allowing you to push social content to your connections and followers with just a few clicks!

In ZiftONE, a simple online dashboard coupled with a fully automated delivery infrastructure lets you set your content preferences and manage both your company’s and your personal social presence across today’s most popular platforms. ZiftONE currently supports the following platforms:

  • X (Twitter)—X is a free social networking and microblogging service that allows registered members to broadcast short posts. X members broadcast posts and follow other users' posts using multiple platforms and devices.
  • Facebook—Facebook is a popular free social networking website that allows registered users to create profiles, upload photos, upload videos, send messages, and keep in touch with friends, family, colleagues, groups, and businesses. Administrative permission is required for the Facebook page you're linking to ZiftONE.
  • LinkedIn—LinkedIn is a social networking site designed specifically for the business community. The goal of the site is to allow registered members to establish and document networks of people, professional groups, and companies they know and trust professionally.
  • WeChat—WeChat is a popular free social networking website that allows registered users with WeChat Verified Service or Verified Subscription account to broadcast messages to augment lead generation and lead nurturing efforts, product marketing, customer retention, and branding to the growing Chinese audience. Unverified accounts are for personal subscriptions while verified accounts are used for businesses (services) subscriptions according to WeChat guidelines. ZiftONE users that connect with the WeChat app will be able to do the following:

    Note

From November 2023 onwards, WeChat support is being deprecated. You can still use existing accounts and posts but there is no option to link new accounts or create new posts.

    • Schedule and send Create Your Own (CYO) or supplier-syndicated text messages, videos, images, and rich media articles to the WeChat subscribers via a public WeChat account that is connected to the ZiftONE platform.
    • Measure message performance using ZiftONE Analytics.
    • Access message data, including the number of sent messages, clicks, views, shares, and favorites.

Note: WeChat does not support social forms to capture contact information.

Linking your social media accounts to ZiftONE gives you access to three types of content: Upcoming Posts, Library Posts, and Social Streams.

Social Media Accounts

In ZiftONE, partners can easily spread branded messaging by connecting and social media accounts for personal or shared access and managing social streams.

The type of account a user can connect depends on their role in the partner account. For more information, see Connecting Social Media Accounts.

Social Streams

Social Streams are feeds of scheduled social content. Some suppliers offer a single stream, while others break their social content down by product or topic. You can turn content on or off depending on the product or topic. Set your own approval level of scheduled posts for both your Company (shared access) and Personal (private access) social media accounts:

  • Auto-publish—These posts will automatically publish to your social media accounts on the dates and times established by your supplier.
  • Requires approval—You will receive an email whenever new content is available, which will prompt you to sign in and approve before the content is sent out to your social pages.
  • IgnoreYou will not be shown posts within Social Streams that you set to Ignore.

For more information about Social Streams, see How to Manage Social Streams.

Upcoming Posts

Upcoming Posts is where you can view all the posts that have dates associated with them. This screen will display library posts that you have selected and scheduled, supplier-provided posts from the Social Streams that you have turned on that must be approved to send, posts that you have already approved, and posts you have created yourself.

To open your list of scheduled posts, navigate to Social Media > Upcoming Posts.

On the Upcoming Posts page, you can do the following:

  • Create posts for your social media accounts. For more information, see Create your Own Social Posts.
  • View the social media calendar.
  • Search by keyword for social media posts.
  • Filter the view by social network: X (Twitter), Facebook, or LinkedIn.

Filters are based on the platforms you have connected to your account.

  • Filter the view by tag: tags are defined by your supplier.

Filters are based on the tags assigned to posts in the list.

  • Select a post to add or change content, post images, use a social form for contact information, schedule, or approve.
  • Select multiple posts to approve or delete in bulk. You will not be able to bulk delete posts that you have already approved.

Library Posts

Library Posts contains supplier-provided posts that are available for you to use. They are typically evergreen—meaning that they don’t reference any specific event or timeframe—so they can be published at any time. Use the left sidebar filter to toggle between available Library posts for the Company (shared access) social media accounts and your Personal (private access) social media accounts.

Suppliers create social content for you that is co-branded with your social accounts; this allows you to push social content to your connections and followers. We refer to any content that is coming from your supplier to you as syndicated content. This syndicated content is continuously updated by the supplier and pushed out to you. You will be notified via email when new posts requiring your approval are available. Suppliers may limit your ability to make changes or updates to the syndicated content in an effort to maintain their brand identity.

For example, if you are in the tech industry, your supplier might upload library posts around a certain solution or product offerings, such as cloud management or security. If you are trying to showcase one of those product offerings on your social media sites, then you could supplement your social posts with additional content from the library.

To open your social media library, navigate to Social Media > Library Posts.

On the Library Posts page, you can do the following:

  • Create posts for your social media accounts. For more information, see Create your Own Social Posts.

  • View posts with a brief description, tags, date and time stamps, and the social media outlet where the content is currently set to post.
