You can assign leads to partner users or sales reps who are responsible for following up with the lead and moving it through the sales pipeline.
You can't take this action on leads that have been rejected by the supplier, or have expired.
Marketing Leads
To assign marketing leads to a partner user or sales rep, follow these steps:
- Navigate to your Contacts page.
- Click the name of the contact you want to assign. This opens the contact details view.
- Under Leads for this Contact, click the name of the campaign that contains the lead. This opens the lead detail view.
- Click the name of the lead you’d like to assign. This opens the lead detail view.
- Click Assign.
- Choose a partner user or sales rep from the dropdown menu.
Click Assign. The Lead Owner information is updated.
If you chose a Sales Rep user, the Lead Owner includes the suffix (Sales Rep) for clarification.
Distributed or Partner User-Created (Registered) Leads
To assign distributed or registered leads to a partner user or sales rep, follow these steps:
- Navigate to your Distributed Leads or Registered Leads page.
- Click the name of the lead you want to assign. This opens the lead detail view.
- Click Assign.
- Choose a partner user or sales rep from the dropdown menu.
- Click Assign.
Click Assign. The Lead Owner information is updated.
If you chose a Sales Rep user, the Lead Owner includes the suffix (Sales Rep) for clarification.
Note
Your supplier decides what level of visibility your users have of leads - reach out them for clarification about which of these options applies:
- Users can see all leads regardless of who is assigned to them
- Users can only see leads that are assigned to them, or leads that are unassigned
