Administrative Permission Required
Administrative permission is required to access the ZiftONE Settings. For more information, contact your supplier's point of contact.
Overview
An email footer, or signature, is an HTML block that can be added to the bottom of emails you create yourself and send from the portal. Having a footer configured allows you to consistently brand your emails and provide recipients with your contact information.
Note: Emails provided by your supplier already include a footer, which can be customized with your contact information and links to social accounts. If you're only using supplier emails, you probably won't need to maintain your own footer.
You can also provide an Unsubscribe link in a footer, which is required under anti-spam regulations. Most Create Your Own (CYO) email templates (except the Blank template) already include an Unsubscribe link. A standard link will be added to emails if you don't have one in the template you're using.
Before You Begin
To add an email footer, you will need to be logged into the portal.
Create an Email Footer
To create a reusable email footer, for use in your CYO emails:
- Navigate to > Settings.
- Go to the Email Footer tab in the left hand sidebar.
- Toggle the switch to On to open the editor.
- Create the email footer using the WYSIWYG editor. Alternatively, click Source to use your own HTML code.
- [Optional] Use the Merge Field button to insert placeholder fields that will be populated with the recipient's details, for example [First Name][Last Name].
- Insert an Unsubscribe link: enter the link text, highlight it, then click the Link button . Enter this information:
- Link Type - choose URL
- Protocol - choose <other>
- URL - enter [UNSUBSCRIBE] (all capitals, including the square brackets)
- Click Save.
- Make sure the switch on the Email Footer page remains toggled to On. The footer will automatically display at the bottom of any new emails you create and send. If you don't want to use your footer, for example if you're sending emails provided by your supplier, toggle the switch to Off.
