New style web content from your suppliers
We’ve introduced new style web content (for example, landing pages, micro-sites, in-page ads), which your supplier can provide to you. Suppliers have much more control over both the design of the content, and the opportunities they can give you to personalize that content.
You may see some differences in the Personalization step of new web content, when compared to your existing ones. You still access, activate, and edit the content in the same way.
This is the view you’re used to - you'll still see it for your existing content:
This is the new style Personalization page - you access it by clicking the new Edit button in the tab:
You’ll note these changes:
- A WYSIWYG Editor is provided, powered by Beefree. You can use this editor to add/update global page styling, rows, and individual content blocks to the item. For more information about the available options, see Content/Formatting/Display Options for Marketing Content.
- You can update a logo
- You can use merge tags in an email, to add placeholders for contact data
- Your supplier may have included links to other content - collateral assets or web content
- Your supplier may have locked some areas of the content, so you can’t edit it
- You can access the individual pages of a web plugin (if applicable) and edit them
Manage cohesive, on-brand marketing campaigns
Suppliers can now include links to collateral assets, co-brandable multimedia, or other web content in the content of your marketing emails or web content objects (e.g. web plugins such as banners or microsites).
To help you use this content, we’ve introduced some guardrails that ensure all linked content is kept together:
- Users must review/personalize/publish all linked content before scheduling an email for sending or publishing web content. They’ll see a Review task for each piece of linked content when personalizing the original item.
- If an email with linked web content is added to a campaign, the linked content items are automatically added as well. Users will see a warning if they remove any linked items from the campaign, to let them know that the existing content is not complete.
