Activate Campaigns

Overview

Your partner portal features two lists of campaigns. The first list, Browse Campaigns, is a list of campaigns that your supplier has made available to you. The second list, My Campaigns, is a list of supplier-provided campaigns that you have activated or CYO (Create Your Own) campaigns that you have created yourself.

In both lists, you must carry out activation tasks. You activate a campaign in the Browse Campaigns list to move it into your account and begin the process of launching it. In the My Campaigns list, you activate each marketing activity in the campaign so they can start reaching your contacts and generating leads. Activating at least one of the activities in a campaign launches the campaign.

In this article, we explain how to activate campaigns in both of the campaign lists.

Before You Begin

Before activating a campaign, you should be familiar with the two campaign pages in your portal. Learn more about the Browse Campaigns and My Campaigns pages in these articles:

Activate Campaigns from Browse Campaigns

In the Browse Campaigns page, you can find campaigns that your supplier has made available to you. Activate campaigns here to move them to your My Campaigns list for further personalization.

  1. Navigate to your Browse Campaigns page.
  2. Review the campaigns that your supplier has made available to you. For more information about the Browse Campaigns page, see About Browse Campaigns.
  3. Click the name of the campaign you want to activate, to open it.
  4. Choose which of the activities provided with the campaign you want to use. By default, all activities are selected. Click on an individual activity to select/deselect it (selected activities display a dark border), or use Select all or Select none
  5. If your supplier has provided collateral or reference material for the campaign, it's displayed in the Reference Materials section.
  6. Click Continue
  7. In the Activate Campaign view, you can do the following:
    1. Click X to remove an activity from the campaign.
    2. [If an activity in the campaign has a provider order] Select a provider to carry out the activity, select which funds to use, and add any special instructions.
  8. Click Continue when you are ready to activate the campaign. The campaign adds to your list of campaigns under My Campaigns. The screen refreshes to show the campaign details, and the review/personalization/scheduling steps required to activate all the content in the campaign.
  9. If your campaign has any required personalization or scheduling actions, complete them in the My Campaigns page. For information, see Activate Campaign Activities from My Campaigns. You can also navigate elsewhere and save your activity personalization for later.

Activate Campaign Activities from My Campaigns

fter you activate a supplier-provided campaign in the Browse Campaigns page, you must activate and schedule each activity in the campaign to officially launch it. In the My Campaigns page, you can find a full list of your draft, active, inactive, and archived campaigns.

Note

If your supplier has linked web content, such as a landing page, to an email in the campaign you are activating, you must activate and personalize the linked content as well. You can't schedule the email until all personalization is complete.

To activate campaign activities:

  1. Navigate to your My Campaigns page.
  2. Click the name of the campaign whose activities you want to activate, to open it.
  3. Click Review next to any actions that require your attention. You need to personalize, target, and schedule each of the activities in the campaign, including those that are linked from emails. For more information, see Manage Campaigns.

For more information on activating activities of different content types, see these articles:

  4. Navigate back to the My Campaigns page, and check the campaign's status. Once you've personalized, targeted, and scheduled all the activities in the campaign, the campaign status updates to Active.
  5. As activities are executed when the campaign is running, the partner is kept informed of campaign activity via a set of system based notifications.

Set the recipients for notifications in the Settings >Notifications field, when personalizing the activity. Enter an email address then click Add.
