Overview
A campaign is a collection of marketing activities that includes emails, email workflows, web plugins, multimedia assets, online ad campaigns, or any combination of the above. You can use supplier-provided campaigns or create your own. By creating campaigns, you will be able to gather data in one place for all the marketing activity around a specific product or service.
Email is the most common marketing activity associated with our platform's campaign tool. In this guide, we give overview information about emails, how to navigate email menus, and how to open the email editing wizard.
Advice
We strongly advise that partners who send marketing emails authenticate their email addresses/domain with SPF, DKIM, and DMARC. Gmail and Yahoo have implemented changes to reduce the amount of spam email relayed through their systems by requiring that email marketers authenticate their DNS with SPF, DKIM and DMARC. If authentication is not in place, they will not deliver the email. For more information, see How do I authenticate my From email address?

About the Browse Emails View
To view the list of marketing emails that your supplier has made available to you, open the Browse Emails view.
The emails in the view must be activated and added to a campaign before they can be used. The campaign is added to the My Campaigns view. Learn more at About My Campaigns.
You can see this information in the Browse Emails page:
- # of Emails
Check how many emails are available for you. The number appears next to Browse Emails at the top of the screen.

Find an email by searching with keywords.
Items are presented in date order as a default - use the controls above the results to change the sorting.
For tips on effective searching, see Search for Content in your Partner Portal.

-
Limit the emails that display in the list. You can filter against any of the content tags, such as Language, that categorize the emails.
- Sort

- Email Details
View information about each email: its description, its content tags, and the campaigns with which it's associated. Click the name of an email to open its details view.
About Email Dashboard
Each activity in a campaign has its own dashboard. The dashboard is a snapshot of the activity details at any given time. The dashboard display varies based on the activity's status, which can be draft or sent. This article covers both the draft and sent statuses.
To open the email dashboard, navigate to Campaigns > My Campaigns. Click the name of a campaign that contains an email, and click the name of the email you want to view.
Activity Dashboard for an Email in Draft Status
For an activity still in draft status, you can edit details, personalize the content inside the blue dotted lines, add contacts, and schedule deployment. Note that not all suppliers allow for content to be personalized.
In this view, you can do the following:
- Alerts
The marketing activity alerts bar notifies you that tasks need to be completed before the activity can be deployed.
- Share
Share the email to social media. This function is disabled until all required actions in the alerts bar are complete.
- Delete
While in draft status, emails can be deleted. See Manage Emails for more information.
- Edit
Click Edit to open the wizard where you can edit activity details, personalize activities, add or delete recipients, and schedule or unschedule the activity.
- Preview
See the email before you send it.
- Details
The Details panel gives the activity status, email address for both the sender and replies, create dates, and notifications when the activity is sent.
- Notifications
Notifications are sent when mailing recipients complete and submit a related form. Additionally, each person set to receive email notification will also receive an email summary report 1 day, 3 days, and 7 days after the mailing is sent. For workflow tactics, the Gear icon indicates if the workflow is active and running or paused.
- Recipients
The Recipients panel shows the number of recipients or that no recipients are added to the activity.
Activity Dashboard for an Email in Sent Status
After the activity is deployed and building statistics, the dashboard will display statistics for the activity. For email mailings, the statistics are opens, clicks, bounces, and unsubscribes. After deployment, the activity can no longer be changed.
In this view, you can do the following:
- Left navigation menu
The left navigation menu displays options for Activity Dashboard, Leads, Recent Activity, Analysis, and View Activity (email, web plugin).
- Request Provider Assistance
Click to request assistance from an advertising provider that is partnered with your supplier. For more on provider assistance, see Manage Provider Orders.
- Share
Click to share the email on social media.
- Analysis Bar
Review data for email opens, email clicks, web views, web clicks, and leads. The analysis bar displays for emails, web plugins, and social media activities. Note that the emails sent total does not include emails sent to less than five recipients - it's assumed that these are test mailings.
- Details
-
The Details panel gives the activity's status, which is sent, and the date.
- In sent status, the activity cannot be edited or personalized.
- For email activities, the detail shows the sender's email, the reply-to email, subject, create date, and notifications when the activity is sent. For workflow activities, you will also see entry conditions.
- For workflow tactics, the gear icon indicates if the workflow is active and running or paused.
