Suppression List

Administrative Permission Required

Administrative permission is required to access the ZiftONE Settings. For more information, contact your supplier's point of contact.

Overview

The suppression list is a list that contains email addresses that are permanently excluded from your email lists and will not receive marketing emails.  These addresses can not be accidentally emailed by any user in the ZiftONE account.

The list can be made up from multiple sources:

  • Contacts that have opted out/unsubscribed from your email marketing.
  • Contacts that have been manually deactivated by the portal user.
  • Contacts that are automatically quarantined by ZiftONE due to an undeliverable email (hard bounces).
  • Contacts that are manually uploaded to the list.  ZiftONE is unaware of any email addresses that you have bounced in other email marketing platforms. Import your suppression lists from these marketing platforms into ZiftONE to protect your sender reputation and optimize your email efforts. If you have experienced a high bounce rate in other email marketing tools and do not take this critical step in protecting against unknown suppression, you may be penalized, up to and including permanent suspension.
  • Contacts that are listed on a supplier's global suppression list - this list isn't visible to partners but ZiftONE will automatically unsubscribe any contacts that match those on it.

If a contact is on the suppression list, their record shows a Do Not Contact label.

  • Search - Use search to locate email addresses on the list, as the list may be large.
  • Add Domain - You can add domains to the lists.
