Sales Reps

Administrative Permission Required

Administrative permission is required to access the portal settings. For more information, contact your supplier's point of contact.

The Sales Rep works outside of the portal and is not considered a portal user. Sales Reps are able to manage their distributed leads and registered deals either via email, or through their CRM.

The portal administrator can use the Lead Management setting to specify a Sales Rep or Reps that should receive email notifications about new leads. For more information, see Lead Management.

The portal administrator can use the Deal Management setting to specify a default Sales Rep for all registered deals. For more information, see Deal Management.

When registering a new deal in the partner portal, users may have the option to assign a Sales Rep to it, depending on the form provided by the supplier. For more information, see Register a New Deal.

Before You Begin

You must be logged into the portal with administrator rights.

Click on the + to expand the instructions for the desired task.

View or Add a Sales Rep

Set up a Sales Rep to work distributed leads and registered deals outside your portal.

  1. Navigate to portal_settings_icon.pngSettings.
  2. Select Sales Reps in the left-hand sidebar.
  3. Click New Sales Rep.
  4. In New Sales Rep,  provide this information as required:

    Parameter  Type  Description
    Email   Text  The email address serves as the primary identifier of a Sales Rep.
    First Name  Text   The Sales Rep's given name.  
    Last Name Text   The Sales Rep's family or surname.  
  5. Click Save. The new Sales Rep is listed in the Sales Reps list.

    To ensure that the Sales Rep gets notified of new leads, go to portal_settings_icon.pngLead Management > Default Lead Notifications. For more information, see Lead Management.

    To add the Sales Rep as the default Sales Rep for new deals, go to portal_settings_icon.pngDeal Management > Default Sales Rep. For more information, see Deal Management.

Edit or Delete a Sales Rep

  1. Navigate to portal_settings_icon.pngSettings.
  2. Select Sales Reps in the left-hand sidebar. A list of all current Sales Reps opens.
  3. Click on the name of the Sales Rep you want to modify, to open their details for edit.
  4. [Optional] Edit the necessary fields and click Save.
  5. [Optional] Click Delete to remove the Sales Rep.
