Domain-Based Auto-Approval

Your supplier can allow you to have new user registrations auto-approved, if the user’s email address is from the same domain as all the existing users in your partner account. If you set up this option, any new registrations will be effective immediately, they do not need to wait for your account administrator to approve them.

Note

Auto-approval of partner registrations must be enabled for your portal, before you can set it up. Reach out to your supplier point of contact for clarification.

If the feature is enabled, your admin user(s) see the portal_settings_icon.png > Settings > User Auto-Approval page in the portal. They can enable/disable auto-approval here, by clicking the Auto-Approval toggle.

The current auto-approval status is shown here - Enabled or Disabled.

Certain conditions must be met for you to enable the auto-approval option for your account:

  • The user’s email domain is NOT a public/generic domain (gmail.com, outlook.com, etc.). Reach out to your supplier point of contact if you need a full list of restricted domains.
  • The user’s email domain is NOT used by any other partner account.
  • The user’s email domain is NOT used by any Unifyr internal accounts.
  • All existing users in the partner account share the same email domain (no multi-domain users exist in the account).

The admin sees an advisory message in the Eligibility field if their email domain is not eligible for auto-approval.

If a new user completes their registration for your partner program, and this option is enabled, the user automatically receives their welcome email, inviting them to set up a password to log in to the portal. Their record is added to the Manage Users page.

Your supplier decides how new users can register for the program - there’s usually an option on the portal login page.

Note

This feature works on a user database based on a single email domain. The admin is not permitted to manually add users with different domains when auto-registration is enabled.
