Personalizing Customizable PDFs

When you've opened a customizable PDF, use the Personalization tab to add/edit your logo, phone number, email, website info, mailing address, and other content, as determined by your supplier.

To customize the content of a PDF:

  1. In the Collateral area of the portal (the names of the pages are determined by your supplier, so check with them), use the filters in the left navigation to find the PDF. PDFs that can be customized have the label Customizable under their title.

  2. Click Customize. This option is only available for a PDF that can be personalized. If you are prompted to select an Existing Customization or a New Customization, this means that at least one customization already exists. Review the existing one(s) before creating a new one.
  3. Select Edit to access the edit screen, then choose Personalization, or choose Review on the review personalization task to go straight to the Personalization tab.
  4. In Personalization, the Properties area lists the fields that your supplier has provided for the PDF. Enter your information into any or all, as required.

Click the Edit icon icon_edit_black.png for any text field, if you need to add a long entry.

Click Edit image to upload a new image in a Partner Logo field.

Enter a URL in a Partner URL field, or upload a file. A URL will appear on the PDF as hyperlinked text. If entering a URL, add it in the format <button text>|<URL>. For example, click here|www.google.com.  Don't include http:// in the URL and ensure there is no space on either side of the bar.

Enable the Save as default option for any of the fields to make future personalizations of the same PDF easier.

  5. Select Apply to see the changes in the PDF.
  6. Use the toolbar buttons to zoom/fit the image, rotate it, download it, or print it.
  7. When you're happy with your personalization, click Save & Next. You will be taken to the Distribute tab of the edit area, where you can get links to distribute the PDF.
