Create Your Own Social Posts

Overview

ZiftONE makes it easy for you to create and maintain a powerful and consistent social media presence with very little cost or effort.

With the ZiftONE platform, you can schedule and publish your own posts across all of your linked Company (if you are an Admin partner user) and Personal social media accounts.

Social media posts that you create do not require approval.

Content Guidelines for Social Posts

Follow these guidelines when managing social posts in ZiftONE:

Accepted Image Filetypes JPG, PNG

X - 5MB
LinkedIn - 8MB
Make sure images follow the latest social media image size best practices for each platform. When in doubt, keep images at either a 1:1 or 2:1 ratio, e.g. 1200x1200px or 1200x628px
Accepted Video Filetypes MP4, WMV, MOV
Video Limits X - 140sec
ZiftONE file size limit - 250MB
Content Restrictions
  • Maximum of 4 images per multi-image post 
  • Image and video not permitted in a single post
  • Emojis aren't supported
  • Social handles (e.g. @lent) are only supported in X posts
  • Hashtags and merge fields should be typed manually - don't copy and paste
  • Add URLs to 3rd party video content (such as YouTube or Vimeo) in the post body/content
  • & and \ aren't permitted in LinkedIn URLs

Create Your Own Social Media Posts in ZiftONE

To create your own social media posts in ZiftONE, follow these steps:

  1. Navigate to Social Media. You can access the Create Post option under Upcoming Posts, Library Posts or Post History.
  2. Use Social Posts in the left sidebar filter to choose the type of account to post from. If you choose Company Posts, you will be able to post from your company social account(s). Selecting Your Posts will give you access to your personal account(s).

    Your role in your partner account determines what social media accounts you have access to. for more information, see Connecting Social Media Accounts.

  3. Click Create Post
  4. In Create Social Post, select the social media platforms on which you want to publish your post.
  5. Enter the main text of your post in Post Content. Follow the guidelines for post content summarized in the Content Guidelines for Social Posts section of this article.
  6. In Post Media, add an image or video either by pasting a URL or by uploading. Follow the best practices and sizing notes for images and videos summarized in the Content Guidelines for Social Posts section of this article.

    We highly recommend directly uploading your video or .gif file if you’d like to autogenerate a preview in the social feed. This option is in line with current social media best practices.

  7. Specify whether users must fill out a social form before they view your promoted content.
  8. Set the scheduling for the post:
    • Auto-Schedule - ZiftONE will automatically select a time to publish your post for maximum impact. For information, see Auto-Scheduling Posts.
    • Select Date and Time - You choose your own date and time.
    • Post Now - Publishes your content immediately, when you click Create Post.
  9. Click Create Post.
